A dramatic finish saw the Women’s Black defend their league title defeating Wallace Weegies to retain the silverware. After normal time the game ended in a 2-2 tie and drop off ensued. With the teams down to 3 players Jen Kieran made a break running half the pitch to touchdown in the corner. A great way to finish for departing players Laura O’Reilly & Olivia Wolff who will be missed!
The Mixed Black team were excited to be joined by Sydney Scorpions & Australia rep Karen Short who ran in a couple of touchdowns before her night was cut short with injury. A resounding 11-0 win over Can’t Teach This saw the team finish on a high. Lions Green also picked up another win against Touch Wood.
