Congratulations go to seven Lions players who have been called up to the National Training Squads and to three Lions players who will continue in the National setup. This is vindication to all the hard work and effort these players have put in over the past season and shows that the Lions are going from strength to strength in terms of player ability.
Many of these players are in their second season with the Lions and this selection can be seen as just reward for the dedication to an often demanding sport. Those selected are taking the first steps towards selection for the playing squads for the 2010 European Championships in Bristol and the 2011 FIT World Cup in Edinburgh, the two most prestigious tournaments in European international level Touch.
